Brunel X-team

The development of the BX-09 bike is being led by four MEng (Masters of
Engineering) students from the department of Mechanical Engineering at
Brunel University. James Owen is Team Leader as well as a Power Train
Engineer on the project, Dafydd Broom is a Power Train Engineer, while
Tom Pegg is the Chassis Design Engineer, and Jamie McCombe works on the
dynamics of the bike. From the academic side, the project supervisor is
Chris Brown, with Dr Koen Matthys in a second supervisor role. Dr.
Efstathios Velenis and Dr. Roger Powell are Technical Consultants.
The team has announced that Steve Harper will be racing the BX-09 at
the 2009 TTXGP in the Isle of Man. Steve has been racing since 2000,
mainly competing on the Isle of Man, finishing three Manx GPs and three
Isle of Man TT’s.
