The mysterious EMC R-144

EMC R144

The Electric motorsport R144 is a Yamaha R1 conversion, featuring (last time it was seen) 144vdc, 48cell Lithium, with a Curtis 144vdc 550amp controller, running a 60kw series motor. More than likely the R144 has gone through some recent modifications for the TTXGP, since these specs are about a year old.

The 100 horsepower, 150 mile per hour, EMC R144 was originaly built for Electric Motor Sport by Justin Gray of Graywrx Fabrications.

Popular Science ran an interesting article (with build details) on the EMC R144 and Justin Gray in June of 2008.
