Team ManTTx Racing

The ManTTx Racing team is the one only team competing on home soil.
Based in Ramsey on the Isle of Man, the local team, led by Keith McKay,
is developing a bike based on a Ducati 748R chassis. The bike is called
the ManTTx X2 and will be ridden by Dan Kneen, who made history in the
2008 Manx Grand Prix by being the first person ever to win three races
in a week.
Set up and fine tuning of the ManTTx X2 is being carried out by Slick!
Performance, an Isle of Man based race engineering company with a
record of race wins in many disciplines from World Superbike to TT
racing.
Phil Wall of Boal Engineering is working on the fabrication, drawing on
many years of experience in motorsports from Formula One to the TT.
Andy Cowie and Joe O'Hanlon of Manx Electricity Authority are designing
and building the electronics.
The ManTTx Racing team members are all motorcycle racers. One of the
team members responsible for sponsorship and team administration is
Emma Shimmin who is currently in fourth place in the Isle of Man Modern
Classics championship on her Honda 400. Another team member, Keith
McKay, and Andy Cowie both compete in the Isle of Man 600cc
championship.
Keith McKay, ManTTx team spokesperson, said: “We're not in this just to
save the planet, we're in this to put a winning motorcycle under a
winning rider, and win the race.”
